Odd's and sod's.....Scott Malone joins the club. Tony Craig leaves to join Brentford so that he can play at centre back and Karleigh Osbourne joins Millwall from Brentford to play at centre back.Scott Barron joins Brentford. What is it with all this Brentford stuff?
Ryan Taylor and Scott Malone join the Lions
Darren Ward Leaves.
With Millwall favourites Craig and Ward leaving for pastures new a large amount of Millwall nous and experience has left the back four. Hopefully this loss will not come back and haunt us.
Danny Shittu joins the Lions on a years contract thanks to the chairman's generous nature.

Capital One Cup Ist round Millwall 2 Crawley 2 (aet) Crawley win on penalties att. 4050
The Capital One Cup beckoned with a Tuesday night home game against Crawley Town so along I trotted.
The Barry Kitchener Stand
***
With the West Stand showing it's new name 4050 turned up to watch this first proper game of the season. From the off the Lions looked anything but Lions as they seem to lack purpose and idea's. With the late signing of Danny Shittu just before the start of the game Millwall looked solid on paper at the back even though skipper Paul Robinson was missing from the team. How wrong I was, Millwall concede to a headed goal early on and they spent the rest of the game trying to equalise. We managed to equalise twice as we continued to chase the game and there was a glimpse of us taking the lead but Darius Henderson missed a chance or two. After extra time come penalties and Crawley buried their's and we missed ours....a bit two bob really.Millwall: Taylor, Smith, Ward, Lowry, Malone, Abdou, Trotter, Henry(Wright) Feeney(Batt), C taylor(Shittu) Henderson

Done by a brace
A tad over eleven thousand watched this game but I wasn't one of them as I was on holiday.
With the Lions failing to score at home and Blackpool's Tom Ince on form we ended up being beaten at home. As we lost at home last season more than we would do normally I hope this trend is not continuing, time will tell.

Sunk by a last minute goal
The man with the hat Miguel LLera scores Wednesdays winner just before the final whistle and we end up with zilch even though we led the game 2-1 up until the 68th minute. What feels like two wasted goals, if there is such a thing is Liam Trotter and James Henry score for the Wall.

"that will do for me"
We were good at times which was enough to win this games but we need to step it up a gear if we want to compete in the top six of this league. Still without skipper Paul Robinson who has not returned to the team after his hernia operation the Lions carve out a gritty win. James Henry runs his legs off and gets a standing ovation as he is substituted by Liam Feeney late in the game.
Liam Trotters fine strike which opened the scoring was followed by Andy Keogh's goal in each half which sealed the win. A happy weekend is on the cards.

I managed to wangle a place in one of the "royal" boxes for this one and if it wasn't for the few beers and a plate of burger and chips the night would have been wasted.
With the Lions limited to a few chances, Cardiff nicked two goals in two minutes just after the start of the second half and went home happy. That's six goals put by us in two games.
I just wonder what the rest of the season will bring. On paper we seem to have players that on their day can influence a game but at the moment it seems that this influence is seriously lacking.

David Forde back in goal
Not to sure if I could be calling them Lions because they haven't been playing like them. No tackling, no passion and a lack of nous. Constantly standing off the opposition and holding back on attempting a challenge. The ball staying with the midfield and to much of the easy option of passing it square or playing back, " how about a few long balls over the top straight to the strikers" All this sideways stuff does not result in the attacking play that will get us out of our seats. The crowd has lost it's edge.
We did play better in the last fifteen minutes when we went down to ten men when Chris Taylor was sent off after Brighton's keeper conned the ref. Perhaps we played better because after going down to ten men we then changed our formation and freed ourselves up. Paul Robinson coming on sparkled up the game which raised the noise. Man on loan New Zealander Chris Woods was my man for Millwall as he showed some of his family's South London grit as he battled throughout and scored our only goal and nearly got another.

If we can keep this undefeated run going with a win at Palace next Saturday our league position will look a bit more comfortable. Luck seems to play an important role with Millwall and with Bolton missing a penalty it looks like we may have a bit of it. Perhaps it's not luck that Bolton missed the penalty but it seems like luck that Bolton's Chris Eagles took the penalty. He had a mixed game and was jeered throughout, " perhaps we put him off".
Darius Henderson on the other hand was excellent and scored two goals one in each half and he also worked hard throughout the match at took my man of the match award closely followed by a excellent solid performance by Danny Shittu who also had a perfect goal disallowed early on.. James Henry was superb.

The first half was pretty even and they hit the post. Other than the 2 goals their keeper had nothing to do. We started brightly but Millwall grew stronger as the game went on after the sending off.
Bolasie and Murray deserve credit but all the rest were average at best, Zaha should have been taken off as his head went after the booking and he dud not want the ball. Millwall played him well IMHO.

How can we?
I am trying to remember if I have ever seen the Lions give up a three goal lead but no game springs to mind so this is the first for me and probably the first for all the players of this current Millwall squad.
There's plenty of goals in us but we must close up at the back. I believe that no team should not give up a three goal lead and certainly not the Wall and especially at home. That is bordering on a criminal act and no excuse will do. I think we went into the same frame as mind as the team and thought the game was in the bag and eased off. Once we verbally started on Birmingham's Marlon King and his manager and not roaring on the Lions the team went into snooze mode and that was that. King scored a hat trick and captured all the headlines.
The few pluses to come out of the game was that Chris Taylor scores his first goal for the Lions and Chris Wood scores a brace which would normally have been enough to win any game.

I think that I have sussed it. We can score goals so no problem there it's just the problem of tightening up the defence. A few tweaks here and there, sorted. Ok' maybe more than a few tweaks and perhaps like strikers defenders need to be matched especially in the central positions and it could be finding the right combination.
With Paul Robinson missing because of injury a major player in our back row is unavailable which does reduce our options when looking for the central pairing. The full back positions are not unblemished when it comes to leaking goals but apart from other players taking these positions more instruction is needed off and on the pitch. I am sure KJ knows these things.

Back after his injury James Henry turning up the heat with the ball at his feet
Liam Trotter's goal was a peach as he finished off the scoring to record the Lions biggest win of the season. James Henry drove home a super goal a short time before before Trotter's to compliment yet another two goals by on-loan Chris Wood. I do hope Wood can stay or wants to stay as his career is taking off while playing for the Wall. Chris Taylor was buzzing about all over the place and looked sharp and up for it.Henderson was very unlucky as he failed to score but his contribution to the win was mustard.
I don't think a single ball that come anywhere near the Lions 18 yard box wasn't headed away by big Danny Shittu as he had yet another brave and solid performance. I must mention them all as they all put in a very solid and gutsy shift. On a very cold day this win was more warming than a bath full of Bovril. Well done KJ

With Darius Henderson starting his 50th game for the Lions we grind out a 0-0 draw.
Watford had a few chances and so did we. On another day these chances could have gone in for both sides but being bias I will say that our chances were better. Our central defence team of Mark Beevers and Danny Shittu left their mark and Watford players who had to deal with them knew these two were on the pitch.
Early second half was met with disaster as Darius Henderson and James Henry go off with hamstring injuries. Josh Wright and Andy Keogh took their places and it still looked a good side on paper and on the pitch.Chris Wood could have won it with seconds to go but he blazed into the night sky and they are still looking for the ball.
I gave some thought to the outcome of this game beforehand and after our recent success I think that I was expecting goals and a Millwall win, nil-nil didn't come into the equation.

A good solid battling performance by the Lions took us up the table to tenth spot and even though we were missing James Henry and Daruis Henderson with hamstring injuries we had enough in the squad to out battle a good Derby side and keep our unbeaten run going. Millwall's first live game for awhile
I think we had the measure of them even before they went down to ten men after Verney got sent off for elbowing Adam Smith. They matched us in some areas but overall we were the better side and deserved the three points. With Jimmy Abdou home with his wife and new baby, midfielder Josh Wright took to the field along side Liam Trotter.
TRUE LIONS
From David Forde to Andy Keogh they all put in a good shift and battled right to the very end. A scrappy game but still a cracking game of football, especially if you was behind the goal in the Cold Blow Lane Stand and like my post from the Derby game recently it was like being back at the old Den, mind you saying that not all games at the old Den were cracking but I am sure "you know what I mean"
Wood and Co getting ready for the off
Blackburn away next Saturday, not played them for a while so not to sure what to expect, we are ten games undefeated so I suppose that means that I expect Millwall to get something..
ps
The normal moaning from Neil Warnock, should have had this, should have had that, sending off was a bit harsh, blah, blah, blah. I say "just admit you got out battled and out played". I think he should be lucky that our finishing was somewhat less than usual which meant that he got away lightly and so did his team.

8/12/12 League game 21 Ipswich 3 Millwall 0 att: 17,380 (we take 1,109)
With chances missed and according to Kenny Jackett a perfectly good goal disallowed the Lions are defeated after a excellent run of games which has seen them climb the Championship table.
Sometimes in life you just know the outcome before the event happens and I can say with this game I just knew....we were going to get beat. A long run of being undefeated becomes a burden and knowing that a defeat will come at some stage in some ways in is good to get it out of the way. The proof will be if we can still kick on from here and finish off the season playing the way that will get us something from this campaign such as a play off spot.

With Mark Beevers sure to permanent sign in January he and the rest of the defence kept the Foxes at bay as they started brightly but succumb to Lions pressure and a wise substitution choice by Kenny Jackett. The substitute in question was Chris Taylor coming on for Dany N'Guessen in the second half and was bang in the right place for burying the winner from a few yards out. One defeat in fifteen is not a bad stat and let's see if we can continue this form away to Brighton Tuesday night.
*Adam.Smith, Shane Lowry, Danny Shittu and Mark Beevers* a solid defence see's off Leicester
The last time we played them they beat us and we were near the bottom and they were at the top.
New ground, big crowds, fancy players and success is expected, that's Brighton.
We just do what we do best.
We continue the form but a soft penalty 2 minutes from normal time see Brighton equalise.
Chris Wood scores another couple of goals which see the Lions secure a 2-0 lead but a good strike from LuaLua shortly after Millwall's second made the remainder of the second half interesting. With the defence working hard to keep Brighton at bay it looked like that we were going to grab all three points but after constant Brighton pressure of griping at the referee he gave the penalty and Lopez scored, Mackail-Smith scored a 8.5 in the diving event which resulted in the penalty.
Five minutes of extra time and no last minute winner scored by Henderson.

Barnsley win this game with a injury time winner from Tudgay, Darius Henderson misses a penalty on his return back from injury and was substituted. Adam Smith was red carded for a 50-50 challenge early in the 2nd half which we will be appealing. With ten minutes to go and the Lions trailing to a earlier Barnsley goal Chris Wood levels the score but we couldn't add to our goal tally and a sucker punch by Barnsley meant they took all three points.

Goal scorers, Henry 12 min, Hulse 36min, N'Guessen 86 min
I watched this game on telly (ESPN) which made a change. This all ticket clash had certainly got the media into a Millwall frenzy as most of the pre-game hype were strewn with footage and comments of the infamous game of 1985 which as we know, due to pay on the day and greed the away end was filled to at least twice it's capacity which resulted in me and many others near to being crushed to death, it was a nightmare. With some of us breaking through mesh to get off of that terrace others behaved to the extreme and this resulted in tarring us all as hooligans and the rest is history. The way the media was going on you would have fault that this event was last week not 28 years ago.
Anyway back to the game........
Alan Dunne first game since November starts and has now reached the 300 game mark for Millwall appearances, well done that man.
We won this game honestly and workmanlike and it was good to see on loan Rob Hulse score his first goal while wearing the Lions shirt. He must be pinching himself, a few weeks ago he was in the doldrums at QPR with no chance of a game and now he is just one game away from a Wembley appearance. How fortunes can change. With James Henry tearing in to score the opener and a steady David Forde keeping goal Millwall's win was never in doubt. With Danny N'Guessen scoring the third our job was done and we said goodbye to Luton.
No giant killing today, sorry ESPN, Commentators, Pundits, British public and world viewers. A special message to Luton Town and their supporters..."as if"

Another recent ex Premiership club gets done by the Wall. Wolves supporters calling for their managers head, mind you this seems to happen quite a lot with the opposition we beat.
The game itself was not a rip roaring affair but the Lions done enough and limited Wolves to the bare minimum of chances. We deserved to win.
Andy Keogh went back to his old club and killed them off with a 78th minute strike that was neatly put away.

Two points lost as Millwall dominated this game. Charlton had a ten minute spell at the start of the second half but for the rest of the game offered little in the way of attack and looked like a team that had come for the draw. On another day we could have had two or three goals, but it wasn't to be as we went for it right to the end, but no luck and no three points.

Cardiff win this game by scoring a 8th minute goal but we could have won this game if we had been more ruthless in front of the Cardiff goal. With Loan player Chris Wood now at Leicester his ex team mates had learnt nothing from him on how to scores goals and chances went begging. There does not seem to be much difference between top spot Cardiff and the Lions and another day we could have left Wales with all three points. That's two defeats on the spin, let's not make it three as we take on Bristol City this Tuesday

Cold Blow Lane begins to fill
Total first half domination lacked the absolute cutting edge to bury Bristol City and a 1-0 lead at half time which was a excellent goal scored by Danny N'Guessen proved to be not enough as the opposition equalised early in the second half which surprised them as much as it surprised me...oh shit!
After they scored we were up and at them and a super save by their keeper kept Liam Trotters cracking effort out. We continued to make chances and in the 65th minute we won the game with an Adam Smith unstoppable shot from a few yards out.
Grabbing every-bodies attention, the win that keeps us outside of the play off spots by just goal difference

FA CUP SATURDAY
5/1/2013 Round Three Millwall 1 Preston 0 att 5,364 (the opposition fetch about 500)
With the Dockers stand closed and a crowd of only 5,364 a somewhat snoozy Den watched a somewhat snoozy Millwall side win with a Liam Feeney deflected goal. On reflection calling the Lions snoozy was incorrect. The team did have the enthusiasm to win and to win well but the ball was hardly retained as heavy touches, misplaced passes and missed opportunities dominated our play.
"less haste, more speed comes to mind"
Preston offered little but did come in to the game later on as they sensed that we was not exactly dominating the game but could not break us down.
Reflecting on all of this and the end of the day we beat them so still in the cup and looking forward to the next round draw.

As it was the first half finished 1-1 with a penalty goal scored by both sides, Bolton were lucky. The second half Bolton raised their game but to avail, we stood firm and David Forde was immense.

John Marquis seals the win and the roof comes off
With Henderson leaving the club and joining our rivals Nottingham Forest, on paper our chances of scoring goals looked somewhat impossible but I need not to have worried as a Danny Shittu header that was out of the top drawer brought us back into the game five minutes after Villa took the lead in the 22nd minute
We coped with Villa's attempts to score again and as we raised the noise to a ear-aching level and with time running out John Marquis who hasn't started a game for over a year made the most of a James Henry ball into the box and victory was ours. What a night.

A bad night for weather and a bad night for Millwall, still stuck on 41 points and a win against Hull City Saturday is a must.
With Millwall starting this game with the same team that beat Villa it just got bad to worse as the Lions offered nothing apart from a couple of weak efforts. 2/2/13 League Game 30 Millwall 0 Hull City 1 att:9,589 "they bring about 800"
After the dismal display against Barnsley I was hoping for a winter warmer but it was not to be.
Still stuck on 41 points and the third league game with a defeat we started with John Marquis alone up front I was thinking "we really have no chance of winning this game, but if in the first minute Mark Beevers hadn't done the worlds worse back pass that David Forde had no chance of getting Hull would not have took the lead and go on to win the game. James Henry could have levelled but blasted his sure fire chance over the bar when it would have been easier to score and then everybody blamed his miss on a bobble. I don't think it bobbled my self but I wont make a issue about it.
With a double substitution at the start of the second half resulted in Robert Hulse and Andy Keogh replacing John Marquis and Josh Wright our game really didn't improve. We tried to roar them on but they didn't respond in at least getting the equalising goal.
The transfer windows closed and at the moment I cannot see much hope for the rest of the season.
Another weekend ruined.
But still only six points off the play off's

16/2/12 FA CUP 5th round Luton Town 0 Millwall 3 att; 9,768 (1500)
Goal scorers, Henry 12 min, Hulse 36min, N'Guessen 86 min
We're not doing much in the league as we come into this game with four defeats on the trot.
We populate Kenilworth Road once again.

With John Berylson continuing to call for bigger crowds we continue to drop down the league table. It was absolutely painful watching this game knowing what could have been if we spent money retaining strikers or even replacing the ones we lost. Of course strikers or the lack of them is not the only reason for five league defeats in succession.
We have a hard core of decent "Millwall players" but I have worries about the rest of them. We have no chance of bigger crowds playing like this and it is really starting to test the patience of the regular eight or nine thousand and if things do not improve I can see the attendance falling further and the money completely disappearing.
I suppose we are what we are and to expect anything else is just a pipe dream.
I know that we have improved since John Berylson joined the club, I remember the near bottom of league one and it's these recent memories that bother me because at the rate of this downfall I can see us back down there. Losing at home to the leagues bottom club 1-5 really sums up what is happening at the club. It's strange for me to even think about the running of the football club as I have always followed the team and left the admin to the experts. This season has been a real eye opener for me as I finally realised it's not about football, it's about money and not much else.

Yet another televised game in the space of a couple of weeks. I must admit even though it was televised by our arch enemy Sky; I watched this game from the comfort of my sons front room and armchair and we created a mini Cold Blow Lane but with beer allowed on the terrace and much warmer than it's been at a few games this winter. Barmy was had by all on the sofa terrace as the Lions recovered from their bruising against Peterborough a few days before and a earn't a win with a forceful battling display.
The Lions first goal was credited to Boro player George Friend as a own goal but sheer Millwall pressure to get the ball from John Marquis, Benfik Afobe and Karleigh Osborne really meant the Friend didn't stand a chance because if he hadn't scored a Millwall player would have. With the Lions looking for a second goal and afobe adding a touch of class the second was scored by Martyn Woolford after the Boro keeper palmed it out and it arrived for left footer Woolford to guide it in to a undefended net. a goal
Boro raised their game second half and although they scored and had one ruled out right on the final whistle due to offside we took all three points. We are now once again looking up the table and not looking down. A win means so much in this division.
We sit 13th in the table eight points of the play offs

Back to our losing ways again but we should have had at least a penalty. We certainly do get some useless or biased referees, two blatant handballs by Leeds players went unpunished but of course they were awarded one when Alan Dunne was judged to have failed McCormack. Even the bookings were dished out to Millwall and not Leeds, 19 fouls to Leeds, no bookings, 14 fouls to Millwall and three bookings. We had chances to win this game but like many games this year not decisive enough up front. Home to Wolves Tuesday night and it must be three points or things are looking desperate.

One of few chances, John Marquis heads towards goal, keeper saves
Other teams who have a bad first half can at times turn things around, but not us
With only Chris Taylor doing anything of note which considering he was just back from a lengthy absence due to injury he took the game to Wolves but had no one with him who could finish a move.
All in all not much else to write about apart from "KJ, SORT THIS LOT OUT" and what happened to the battling spirit we showed at Boro?
Benik Afobe injured and gone back to Arsenal, I guess we won't see him again.

We are still in the draw for the semi-finals and even though we did not score and have to go back to their place Wednesday night and win, I still fancy it. Blackburn were average and from what I saw of them the replay is winnable and if we put in the same amount of battling spirit and commitment as we put in to this game we should progress, statements such as this I know is tempting fate but I feel that destiny calls.
With six changes from the Wolves defeat Tuesday night the Lions looked bright and up for it. Chris Taylor dazzled and Andy Keogh although he didn't score put himself about and put some excellent balls into the box. He set the ball up for Rob Hulse's now famous miss.
Jack Smith playing along recalled Liam Trotter had a excellent game and looked solid..As I have already said; a good battling performance and played well, apart from our finishing we looked a solid balanced team.

It's just gone midnight, 14 hours to kick off and after reading a excellent 12th man post on our Millwall Supporters Forum , House Of Fun it got me thinking about the importance of the 12th man and how we can by raising the atmosphere to boiling point lift our players and scare the opposition to death . This is something we usually do so hopefully it will be rocking for this one. This game as added importance, with a unhealthy run of league defeats the players could be lacking in confidence and we need to be at our best to help the players have the belief to win this game. Maybe the players are already up for this game, after all there is a large carrot that should drive them on, a trip to Wembley.
Every little helps and if we can give the players a extra 10% we will all be going home happy and looking forward to see who we will be playing in the semi.
We shall see
Other clubs still in the competition..Wigan, Chelsea or Man Utd (replay needed), Man city
All premiership clubs. Once again we are the spanner in the works and with no doubt the underdogs. Wouldn't have it any other way.

16/3/13 League Game 36 Charlton 0 Millwall 2 att:18,514 (we take 3,153)
What a week! 47 POINTS
Reached the semi-final of the FA Cup, Wigan who beat Everton are our opponents and although they are a premier league club we can beat anybody on our day so you never know. Coming to Charlton three days after beating Blackburn and taking all three points is the icing on the cake, as I said "what a week". Charlton had chances but couldn't score and when the ball was on target David Forde was immense and guarded his goal with skill and passion. Since earning the shirt to be Ireland's number one it seems to have given him extra confidence and he is certainly enjoying playing for the Wall.
We could put the ball away and thanks to our new loan signing Jermaine Easter who scored with a very neat finish in the 58th minute we go 1-0 up. He had only been on the field one minute as a second half substitute and what away to start his second period playing for Millwall. Our other new loan signing Richard Chaplow set Easter up for his goal with a excellent ball into the box.
Our second goal was something else as Lowry took a 35 yard free kick and sweetly arrowed a absolute peach into the top corner of the Charlton goal which sent the 3000 bonkers and the three points were ours. We take the win over this lot from down the road and if we can build on this victory I am sure we will be playing Championship football next season or maybe elsewhere because there is still a chance we could make the play-offs. A bit of a long shot but you never know.

Wembley ticket info
We've been allocated 31.500 tickets and we will not be given any more. FA segregation rules.
Season ticket holders get the chance of three tickets and like myself a member only gets one.
After a certain time period if there is any left they go out to general sale. I have a moan but I understand that you cannot please everybody but it's the kids that are going to be left out.
My two grandchildren have been to every game this season including the midweek games and all the rounds of the FA Cup, but how can they go?. As a member they cannot go with me, so they will have to wait for general sale, but being kids they cannot go on their own and if they could they would have no chance getting seats next to me let alone the same block. I could wait for general sale myself but that's a risk. As I said "I'm not moaning"

29/3/13 League Game 37 Leicester City 0 Millwall 1 att:22,365
50 points at last, but still not safe
Even though Leicester played for most of the match with ten men after their captain and defender
Wes Morgan got sent off we had to work and earn this win.
Another three points on the road secures 50 points in the league and with games in hand things are looking healthy. We still seem light up front and it took Alan Dunne to score his first goal in three years in the 87th minute to secure the win, and what a well taken goal it was. Schmeichel was gutted.
Richard Chaplow, who I must admit had me cursing as I didn't think he was on his game and wasted a few corners and passes but he managed to win and work the ball back from the bye-line into the path of Alan Dunne who calmly put it a way from the the edge of the penalty box. That was a first rate assist and a first rate goal and it won us the game.

51 points and another clean sheet
This was a windy day.
With Lowry hitting the woodwork and Jermaine Easter wasting a couple of good chances Ipswich were lucky. Others in the Millwall side had chances as well but it wasn't to be.
Another point to add to the tally but only a gap of four points from the drop zone, we must do better. It seems that this season 60 points is the target to reach and although we have not conceded
in the last three league games and gained five points it's proving hard to pull away from the teams below as they are making a fight of it( apart from Bristol City). Hopefully we can win at Birmingham and everyone below us has a shit weekend.

52 points and we concede
We should have a had a penalty....another two bob referee.
17 minutes on the clock and Chris Taylor is brought down and although everybody agrees it's a penalty the referee books Taylor for diving. There was also other curious decisions from the officials where they kept changing their minds. You can't write stuff like this, week in and week out we suffer at the hands of idiots.
After not beating Birmingham for 17 years a win would have been nice but the point is handy so I think that we would have took that before the game.

9/4/13 League Game 40 Millwall 1 Sheff Wed 2 att:9.084 (1,028)
After two minutes Jimmy Abdou scores his first goal at the Den
After taken a early lead I was hoping for a 5-0 win, well, that didn't happen. With in my opinion no natural goal scorer within the team we could not add to the early goal and we succumb to the sucker punch a few minutes from full time. Some may say that with one eye on the Wembley semi-final we could not put our mark on this game. The "some may say brigade" I make them right as I saw a couple of 50-50 balls that we did not challenge for and we lacked that cutting edge..
This result leaves us 5 points off of the relegation spots.
I was wondering...
I was wondering what the atmosphere and chat would be like after the Wembley defeat and the Wembley brawl and listening to people outside the ground and the people inside and around me when in my seat there was disappointment but also humour which as I know is a method of dealing with the dislike and crap that is dished out to the club and ourselves. The supporters that attended this run of the mill midweek game are a big part of the club and I am proud to say that my grandkids and myself are part of them. They deserved that win and when that ball went in it was celebrated like we had won the FA Cup .One of my favourite nights.

Yet another home defeat, as I said, I'll be glad when this season is over
We've done all right recently against Blackburn but tonight we had one of those games and one of them ref's. Rob Hulse was jeered as he was substituted and he went straight down the tunnel. We probaley won't see him again.
If that was a penalty-then the moon is made of cheese. What a Pollock of a referee
We scored early and then Rob Hulse had a hand in Blackburn's opening goal. Danny Shittu ended up with two yellow cards, the second yellow was after the final whistle as he protested his dismay regarding the farcical penalty decision and will miss the next game which is against Nottingham Forest at home .KJ supported Danny by saying, ' he showed commitment.

SEMI-FINAL, WE WANTED IT
Lions back on ESPN and right from the off we you could see a steely determination to get something from this game. With the same team that played Sunday, Millwall carried on where they left off and defended fiercely and gave Blackburn very little in and around our box. We battled for every ball and although our lack of finishing was still a problem we constantly pressurised them and they conceded to man of the match Danny Shittu and his gutsy header just before half time. The big defender was superb yet again and after the final whistle he spoke loud and proud into the camera as he was walking off...THAT'S WHAT WE DO Love it!

Top Cardiff 75 points
Last play off position Leicester 59 points
14th spot Millwall 47 points
22nd spot Peterboro 42 points
Bottom Bristol 39 points

1/4/13 League Game 38 Millwall 0 Ipswich 0 att: 10,047 (1,047 away )

7/4/13 League Game 39 Birmingham 1 Millwall 1 att:15,302
52 points and we concede
We should have a had a penalty....another two bob referee.
17 minutes on the clock and Chris Taylor is brought down and although everybody agrees it's a penalty the referee books Taylor for diving. There was also other curious decisions from the officials where they kept changing their minds. You can't write stuff like this, week in and week out we suffer at the hands of idiots.
After not beating Birmingham for 17 years a win would have been nice but the point is handy so I think that we would have took that before the game.
Five points off the relegation spot.

The Lions press but no more strikes to add to our goal tally
A blatant handball in the second half should have gave us a penalty but the officials missed it, just like they missed other decisions
This result leaves us 5 points off of the relegation spots.

FA CUP SEMI FINAL 13/4/13 Millwall 0 Wigan 2 att: 62,335
KJ's 300 game in charge
What a long day that was....me and my boys
It felt like the final not just a semi
We decided to leave for the game early and took the scenic route around the M25 and went from junction 3 to junction 16 and approached Wembley from the north with the Millwall flag proudly in the back window. Like I said we were well early so we had a wander around Wembley while dodging the rain and having a crafty beer on the street without being spotted by the police who were very keen to stop anybody drinking anywhere near Wembley. I know "anti social behaviour and all that" but just a couple of crafty cans don't add to much. It rained quite a bit and I got soaked and what with the beer I spent most of the time looking for somewhere to pee. There is nowhere to do this bodily function and a few Porta-Loos wouldn't go amiss.
Shittu and Beevers work their nuts off and they must have been pleased with the clean sheet. David Forde was again on his game and looked solid throughout.Easter (Keogh 78), C.Taylor

Party time down Wembley Way
Going in-Millwall on the left-Wigan on the right
The game it's self
Danny leads them out
I was disappointed with the first half as we didn't offer much and got caught with the sucker punch with no one in defence that left David Forde unprotected as Wigan scored their first.
In the second half we were much more up for it and threatened the northerners goal but lacked the necessary fie power to equalise. This is something we have got to sort out quickly as we are still not safe in the league and we need a win Tuesday night. Substitutions were brought on as the game progressed which added a bit more bite but Wigan scored their second with 12 minutes to go and that was that.
A strange thing went on
A row started below me and to the left which appeared to involve about a dozen blokes. From a distance I could not pick up what the row was about but my view was good and I saw some Millwall supporters arguing with other Millwall supporters about something or another. This went on and off for about 20 minutes and within that twenty minutes a good few punches were thrown and people fell about over the seating and fell over each other. It looked like a good few were pissed. What was strange that in this time span of about 20 minutes no police or stewards turned up and it was down to the sensible supporters around this altercation to try to stop it, I have just watched a video that backs this up. After about 25 minutes the police turned up whacked a few people who were nearest to them and then disappeared.
They must have a policy at Wembley that the stewards are their to meet their health and safety requirement and not much else.
As a Millwall supporter gutted to see Wall on Wall carrying on like this around our younger supporters and I am not surprised that those with a sense of decency around this loutish behaviour tried to stop it. I knew the press would slaughter us for this and the Sun the next day were up to their normal tricks...Millwall fans riot etc. Not a riot, more a pub brawl, but not acceptable and true Wall wouldn't do this to their own. I now hope that John Berylson does not say I'm off. Hopefully this will never happen again and I cannot see how it could as the lack of response from Wembley stewards and the police would never happen at a club ground. As long as the supporters learn from this we should be alright.
There was plenty that didn't

55 points, probably still not enough
We beat these buggers at last. Watford didn't shine and we battled hard and took the spoils.
The first half was a non-event, so not worth writing about from Martyn Woolford come on for Chris Taylor due to a hamstring problem in the 36th minute.
The second half saw the Lions raise their game and although they could have played better they played with a determination that kept Watford mostly at bay and battled to the end of the game. They didn't drop their heads when balls went astray and with Woolford getting better as the game went on he provided the assist to Shaun Batt's winning goal eight minutes from normal time. Danny Shittu was immense with his fearless heading and tackling that with the help of Mark Beevers stopped Watford from scoring by keeping them at arms length.

Karleigh Osborne scores a cracker
Yet another home defeat, and no "fortress Den" this season. Not to sure why we are losing at home.
We cannot score goals and our defence on the whole is very good with some good solid players who show plenty of commitment mixed in with gristle so why are we losing? these games should be 0-0 draws
It's all a bit sparse, even the away support is down to 240

This well earn't point takes us to 56 points and mathematically still not safe
One game to go and to secure Championship survival we really need to take something from the last game at Derby County, we must not lose.
Back to the game, it was noisy and at times we reached a ear splitting crescendo. Palace tried to match but they were blown away so they resulted in letting off fireworks.
The Met's finest sort out the Palace firework boys
It was not the usual size crowd for this South London Derby but the Den was still rocking. I enjoyed the game in tems of " a local derby" but disliked the fact that it was so obvious that we haven't got a striker. I enjoyed the game because the ref knowing that it was a derby game and wasn't whistle happy and on the whole let the game flow. Well done ref.
Captain Danny Shittu received the supporters chalice as player of the year with David "so solid" Forde receiving the runner up spot. James Henry came third. Danny N'Guessan was substituted after only being on the field for eight minutes after coming on as a substitute. He walked as slow as a tortoise across the pitch and straight down the tunnel with jeers ringing in his ears. A few minutes later a cry of there is only one Kenny Jacket rang around the ground. I presume just like Hulse we will not see N'Guessan again.
The 0-0 result reflects to what I said after the Blackburn Rovers. I would have taken the point if offered before the game, so I am happy. We limited Palace to just a few chances while we worked hard around their box. Without the striker to bang in the goal I think we done enough and deserved a lucky deflection, but it was not to be
THE DERBY GAME COMING UP IS HUGE
It has been a strange season. Chris Wood was our golden boy as he wa banging in the goals and things looked rosey. Then he goes a joins a "bigger club" and we don't replace him. Just to top that off, we let Darius Henderson go to Nottingham Forest. Rob Hulse come in and managed to score one goal against Conference side Luton. John Marquis has failed to impress with his goals but I cannot fault his commitment. We need a 20 goal a season striker and also a 8-10 goal midfield or forward player. If we do not have this by the start of next season, I wouldn't rate our chances.

It now looks like our recent home win against Watford was massive, those three points kept us up. We nearly got a point at Derby but they banged one in with five minutes ago and those teams that mattered like Peterboro lost. We are safe.
After a slog of a season it boiled down to just two points that kept us in the Championship .Like I said after the Palace game we need to strengthen in the summer and get at least two players in that can score goals. Hopefully with the dead wood going back to their parent clubs some money will be freed up to get some natural goal scorers on the books..We must start being nigh-on impossible too beat at home.
