Shrewsbury 1 Millwall 2, League One, Game 1, 8/8/15, att: 6.671, (we take 1500)

ALMOST IN WALES

We take 1500 away and we are up and running. Shrewsbury who are fresh up from League Two and have a very good home record at their new ground looked a good test for us and I was not confident that we could win this game. I would have been happy with a draw so to take all three points is stamping our mark on the division. I didn't know before the game that we had not won a game coming from behind in the last two years and I suppose as soon as Shrewsbury scored it would have been "that's that then" I am glad I didn't know.

When Shrewsbury scored in the 55th minute it was just the reminder the Lions needed  that games don't earn you anything unless you put the sweat and effort in and they came back and won this game and Steve Morrison who signed yet again for Millwall a few days ago scored one and was awarded a penalty which Lee Gregory took and buried in the 67th minute gave us the win and the three points. A big shout from me to mention young Fred Onyedinma who had a game that must be classed as one of his best as he was beating Shrewsbury players with ease, he run some of them ragged.. Is this all a sign of things to come? I hope so.
