The popular Lions Community Centre under attack from Lewisham Council
Lewisham council are close to selling the land around Millwall which includes the stadium car park and the much praised Millwall Community Trust building (Lions Centre) to a developer Renewal who's holding company is off-shore registered. How can a off-shore registered company be part of the community and transparent in their day-to-day dealings? They cannot, you move your operation off shore for one reason, avoiding tax. It all sounds a bit dicky to me.

There is a link within this article which shows the statement that Millwall's chairmain John Berylson has penned to Lewisham council.

At the Lewisham Council cabinet meeting regarding this land grab it was said "it has come to our notice that the circumstances of the Compulsory Purchase Order necessitate further investigation before this matter can be considered"
There is now a referral to this sell off of our our land and now it's a chance for Millwall FC to voice it's aspirations for the club and it's assets and let them know we have every right to be involved in decisions that will impact on the club and all of our futures.. We must get this right
